Whistler Trip

Just a quick debrief for those who are not familiar what we're going to do on the whistler trip, allow me to discuss what's going to be done, what you should bring, etc...

First up, we're meeting @ Central Pacific near Science World station @ 12pm SHARP.  God help us if you're late.  You are ONLY allowed 2 baggages and a handcarry for greyhound.  So stuff your bags accordingly.

Bring snowboarding clothing that is nice and warm, and extra clothing just in case they dont dry quickly enough. Bring something that is a bit more than casual cuz we'll be dining on my bday at some fancy restaurant... or so i've planned.  Bring a swimsuit as well.  Also, dont forget to bring ID just incase they require identification for tickets and renting gear.  Bring cameras if you want to take pictures of sceneries, dinners, and drunks.  Cellphones are optional.  Long distance charges, according to G, do apply.  In addition, be prepared to sleep on the floor. No crying when you get assigned for sleeping on the floor since we all agreed beforehand, prior to the payment.  But dont worry, i'll be sleeping on the floor for one of the nights.

First day, the day of arrival, we will be exploring the whistler village.  If you really want to get rolling and snowboard, go ahead.  If not, we'll just walk around, enjoy ourselves, and buy some liquor for the last day of the trip.  That night, we'll probably be playing craniuim, for people to mingle a bit.

Second day, we'll be snowboarding all day, and same for the third day.  On the Saturday night, third day, we'll be drinking to the max... so be prepared.  NO ONE, and i say, NO ONE, will not be drinking.  Non-drinkers will be thrown out of the room!

Last day, day of departure, we can head back home after breakfast.  Or, we can swim, depending on what everyone wants.

And uh, bring snacks and socks too... according to Khin.

Any questions or concerns, contact me asap @ 778.999.9456.

Peace. A.

"How much time do we have?"

Thursday, February 17, 2005

Today, upon a bus,
I saw a girl with golden hair,
who no doubt was she fair.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 legs, the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 eyes, the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child with eyes of blue.
He stood and watched the others play.
He did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
" Why don't you join the others, dear?"
He looked ahead without a word.
And then I knew, he couldn't hear.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have 2 ears, the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go.
With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I'd know.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

The world holds far worse.  Dont take life for granted.
